lupines long

lupines and daisies


my season with you lasted 5 lupines long,
5 summers of purple sticks holding up daisies,
on the side of the Highway,
I saw them today
where people flew by in metal cages,
all but the lupines,
and the daisies,
they stayed
5 lupines long.
