Two birds on one feather they fly
Malala fought for education,
for education Mona died
Mona taught the children
Malala read a book
Malala they shot
Mona’s life they took

Mona was arrested as she taught children's classes.
She was sentenced to death.
She kissed the rope,
then placed it around her neck.
Now Malala carries Mona
with her each and every breath

ReplyDeleteShe was hanged in the early eighties - for teaching children the Oneness of Mankind. She was one of nine women executed by the Iranian Islamist regime, for the “crime” of teaching the values of her Baha'i faith. If she recanted her Faith she would be set free. She asked to be the last so she could support to the others, then when it was her turn - she kissed the rope and placed it around her neck. She is my heroine.
