Gossip and Backbiting

It's no fun to be talked about,

to be the butt of a joke

It chokes the life right out of you

It hurts your soul
Backbiting quencheth the light of the heart,

It is "so" wrong

I used to think nothing of it,

to talk about another,

a friend, a sister, a brother,

with negativity,

until it was done to me

I never recovered,

the part that died,

with a little bit of my soul,
