My responsibility

My responsibility as a human being is not to inform you,

but to be informed

My responsibility as a human being is to love you,

and not yearn to be loved in return

My responsibility as a human being is to see you

without hoping to be seen,

or heard,

but to listen

to the wind in your whistle

It is my responsibility

to see the tree in your leaf

to place myself beneath

because it is my responsibility as a human being

not to want less ~ or more

to pursue the sea,

create a wave,

but to be, the shore
