Take Ye riches while others bleed
in bags on shoulders of crowded streets
or you can serve the Lord
Strip the heart from the unborn seed
In broken castles succeed
You can fall to your hands and knees
Praise the world and the weed
or you can serve the Lord
You can boast about your goodly deeds
Flip through the pages of the stuff you read
Toss His Book to the side, or lead
all God’s children, His every creed
and to Only Him, plead
until you are freed
...as for me
I will serve the Lord
