Forty Days
Forty days and forty nights lying on a bed of thorns waiting to be born
It’s worth the wait if you’re as patient as Job
Man does not live on bread alone *1
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone *2
Come ye children of men
Try one more time
If you don’t succeed, try, then try again
It’s worth a second shot, or third
The Word
Don’t be weary
It’s second to none
Like the Father to the Son
and contrary to popular opinion
You can’t save anyone but yourself *3
So forget about band standing or preaching from the street
You cannot give food to a starving man who is not willing to eat
No one is listening from below (or above)
and have no fear
God is near
He’ll leave a remnant for those we love *4
